Is it just me being silly, or is it really that everybody my age is getting married this year? I know some of my girl friends feel that the age of 25 is the gold standard of starting a new life with someone. I remembered one of our conversations back in secondary school - most of my friends answered 25 when we were asked when do we think we want to get married. I, on the other hand, wisely said, 30. Hahaha… Typical me.
The idea of marriage to me is out of this world. So, I guess it’s natural that I do feel a bit sad when some of my close friends are tying the knot. Don’t get me wrong, I do feel happy for them. But somehow at the same time, I do feel the lost as our priorities shifted to different directions and I know, because of this, the nature of our friendships will also somehow change.
But life’s like that, huh? Things change, people change. Heck, even I change too… in some ways. And yeah, I guess you just have to accept these kinda things as you go along the way.
